SOFT EROSION
My unique 'Soft erosion' technique was developed in 2021 using just sand and water, inspired by the coast. The 'soft' looking finish has an almost felt-like appearance but the high-fired vitrified clay body is actually incredibly hard and durable.
Tile hanging wall pieces and Resilience vessels are both part of the Soft Erosion collection.
Round bottomed enclosed forms are soft eroded and the resulting adjusted weight vessel finds a new balance, tipping slightly. Beautifully sculptural pieces with a quiet simplicity.
